Overview
The ITF America Open Championships bring General Choi's Taekwon-Do to IMAF with the full ITF competition program: patterns and sparring.
Open to ITF practitioners of all ranks and all national organizations.
Divisions & Format
Individual events run by rank and age group on Saturday
Patterns (Tul)
Designated and optional patterns appropriate to competitor rank.
Sparring (Matsogi)
Semi-contact continuous sparring by weight, rank, and gender.

Rules & Judging
- Competition follows current ITF rules for patterns, sparring, power, and special technique.
- Patterns are scored on technique, power, balance, breath control, and rhythm by a panel of certified umpires.
- Sparring is semi-contact; excessive contact, attacks to illegal targets, and falling draw penalties or disqualification.
- Approved ITF-style foot and hand protectors, mouthguard, headgear, and groin guard are mandatory for sparring.
- A clean ITF dobok with correct badges and rank markings is required for all events.
- Umpire decisions are final; protests must be lodged in writing with the tournament committee within the posted window.
